Wake Forest University’s Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life is delighted to announce the phased expansion of four new organizations joining the campus community over the 2023 – 2025 academic years. This expansion will provide students with new opportunities for involvement in brotherhoods and sisterhoods dedicated to community service, academic excellence and personal development.

In response to a call from community leadership to see an expansion of our traditional NPHC “Divine Nine“ organizations and the addition of culturally-based organizations, Fraternity and Sorority Life hosted information sessions featuring the remaining four organizations of the Divine Nine, and community stakeholders were invited to learn more about each organization’s programs and goals. After affirmation by the University’s Student Life Committee, we are excited to announce that Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and Chi Upsilon Sigma National Latin Sorority, Inc. will be joining the community in the 2023 – 2024 academic year, with Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. and Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc. following in a staggered and phased expansion approach during the 2024 – 2025 academic year.

These new organizations have rich histories of empowering their members and serving communities through programs and initiatives promoting education, health, and social justice. Each organization will seek to recruit individuals committed to academic excellence, community service and strong bonds of sisterhood or brotherhood.

Prospective members can learn more about the new organizations and their respective recruitment processes by visiting each organization’s website. Contact information for each organization’s expansion to Wake Forest University can be found below:
